1912 Liberty Nickel
The 1912 Liberty Nickel was the last regular issue for the series, before it was replaced by the Buffalo Nickel. Of note, the coins were struck for circulation this year at the Philadelphia, Denver, and San Francisco Mints. This was the first time the five cent nickel was struck at the latter two locations.
The 1912-D and 1912-S Liberty Nickels have lower mintages and command premiums above the Philadelphia Mint issue.
